Bankwood care home in Duffield, Belper was delighted to welcome the Mayor to enjoy the home’s delicious coffee morning with Residents.
Tim Sutton, Belper Town Mayor, attended the coffee morning at Bankwood with his wife June - much to Residents’ delight as they had lots of questions to ask him.
Everyone joined together to enjoy homemade cakes, along with a pot of tea and coffee, as they had a lovely catch up.
One Resident commented: “It’s nice to meet our local Mayor”, while another added: “He is such a lovely man.”
Izeta Hamza, Home Manager at Bankwood, said: “Everyone was delighted to see the Mayor and his wife joining us for our coffee morning, which is a very popular event amongst our Residents. The event gave us the opportunity to ask the Mayor lots of exciting questions and we are all hoping to see him again soon.”
