Residents welcome adorable furry friends to Carlton care home
Residents at Willow Brook care home in Carlton, Nottingham were delighted to make some new furry friends as they received a visit from adorable alpaca duo, Glen and Mungo.

The alpacas were a huge hit amongst Residents and Relatives alike, as people had the opportunity to stroke, cuddle and feed their new furry friends.

For many people living at the home, it was their first time ever seeing an alpaca, so they thoroughly enjoyed finding out more information about the animals.

After learning about the alpacas’ diet and habitats, Residents were shown the difference between sheep and alpaca wool, with many commenting on how much softer the alpaca wool was.

Leanne, Wellbeing Coordinator at Willow Brook, said: “Animal therapy is one of the most popular activities for our Residents, as it is often a calming experience and promotes emotional wellbeing.

“Mungo and Glen went down a treat and many Residents have since been asking when they will make a return to Willow Brook!”
