Residents visit The Orchard Tea GardenResidents from HC-One’s The Cambridge care home in Cambridge enjoyed a special poetry session at renowned The Orchard Tea Garden in Grantchester.

By having tea at The Orchard Residents followed an impressive group of luminaries’ including Rupert Brooke, Sylvia Plath and Virginia Woolf. Residents enjoyed a morning of reading beautiful poems including “The Old Vicarage, Grantchester” by Rupert Brooke.

Everyone had a great time at The Orchard and are looking forward to returning in September to pick apples which they can use to make delicious apple pies.

“It was great to have the opportunity to visit The Orchard Tea Garden again, it is a lovely atmosphere and I loved reading Rupert Brooke poems in such a special location.”
