Residents treated to technology surprise at Eckington care homeResidents at April Park care home in Eckington have enjoyed enhancing their technological skills as the home has bought two new tablets for the home.

The introduction of the devices has gone down a treat with Residents, who have enjoyed playing games such as solitaire on the new tablets.

The introduction of the devices aims to enhance Residents’ hand-eye coordination and stimulation of the brain, in turn benefitting the wellbeing of those living at the home.

Jean, a Resident at April Park, was keen to try out the new devices and was thrilled with her experience, with the card games being particularly successful!

Gail Wardle, Home Manager, said: “The Residents thoroughly enjoyed exploring the new tablets and the many games that they offer. Following this great success, we are even looking at getting some more for the home.”
