The Beeches care home in Dukinfield was delighted to welcome a whole host of exotic guests to meet the Residents.
During the visit from Zoolab, Residents were given the opportunity to meet, touch and even hold the animals, which included a snake, tarantula, and giant millipede.
Residents were keen to get involved and really enjoyed holding the unusual creatures, while learning some interesting facts about the different species.
Catherine, a Resident at the home, commented: “I really enjoy the animal activities at The Beeches as they’re so unusual and we learn lots of interesting facts.”
Freda added: “I really enjoyed the afternoon. I plucked up the courage to hold every single creature, I bet nobody will believe me!”
Sade, Wellbeing Coordinator at The Beeches, said: “It is great to host such extraordinary activities for our Residents. It’s great to see their faces light up when they first meet the animals.”
