Residents take a trip to the Imperial War Museum
Residents and Colleagues from The Beeches Care Home enjoyed a visit to the imperial war museum in Manchester.
Jim a Resident at the Beeches wanted to take a trip to the museum ready for remembrance day and the team made sure this could happen.
The trip was a lovely and enjoyable day out, Residents found all the exhibits interesting and enjoyed the art work on display.
Midway through the day everyone stopped and enjoyed at hot drink and a jam scone in the café.
Jim spent some of his time talking to other visitors about his time in the war and loved sharing his memories and experiences.
The day finished with a trip to the gift shop before heading back to the care home for a well deserved rest.
Jim commented:
"I’m glad I was able to come here today and see all the poppies to mark the 100th anniversary." 

Resident Eunice added:
"It is very interesting here and so much going on and I have had a lovely time!"
Wellbeing Coordinator Sade commented:
"Today was an enjoyable day out, the poppy display was brilliant.I am glad we saw everyone enjoying themselves."
