Residents take a trip back in time with a visit to Hancock MuseumResidents from HC-One’s Redesdale Court Care Home in North Shields enjoyed a trip to Newcastle to visit the Hancock Museum.

John Pease, Norma Lewis, Dorothy Browne, Martha Robinson, Joan Lacey, Pat Feeney, Jean Brown and Audrey Herron had a great time browsing the displays, including Hadrian’s Wall artefacts, ancient armour from around the world, dinosaurs, ancient Egypt and global animals.

The Residents were amazed by the size of the Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton and commented how they were glad they weren’t roaming around in the present day!

Martha Robinson commented:

“The quality of some of the ancient stone work is amazing, especially since they didn’t have modern day tools.”

The café on site was very accommodating, allowing the Residents to bring their packed lunches and even reserving them a table.
