Residents take a trip back in time at Preston ParkHC-One’s Jack Dormand Care Home in Peterlee, County Durham enjoyed a trip out to Preston Park in Stockton. 

Elsie Dixon, Martin Hall, Hazel Callan, Mary Fairhurst and Brenda Metcalf took a trip back in time and experienced what life was like in 1895 when they visited Victoria Street. 

The next step on the trip was Butterfly World where they were amazed to see all of the different butterflies flying around them and enjoyed pointing them out to each other, before visiting the meerkats, snakes and lizards in the Reptile Centre.

Everyone enjoyed a wonder through the grounds on the way to the museum, where Residents had a great time reminiscing with each other.

The kitchen team at Jack Dormand had prepared a delicious picnic lunch for everyone, which they enjoyed in the sunshine.

“What a beautiful place! It’s been such a wonderful day; I have really enjoyed it pet.”
