Residents reminisce as Grimsby care home marks Remembrance Day 2019Residents at Clarendon Hall care home in Grimsby paid their respects to those affected by the war with a sing-along in the home.

To commemorate the fallen soldiers from World War 1 and 2, staff at Clarendon Hall arranged for talented singer Helen Sadler to perform a number of classic wartime songs in the home.

Residents sang along to the songs, which included Pack Up Your Troubles and White Cliffs of Dover, before sharing memories from the war.

Everyone had a wonderful time and felt that it was a very fitting way of showing respect for Remembrance Day.

Bessie, a Resident at Clarendon Hall, said: “What a real treat!”
