Emotions were high at HC-One’s Leighton Court care home, as Resident, Marge, was re-united with her younger brother, Stan, as he also arrived as a Resident in the home.
Marge has been a Resident in the home since 1999, and was delighted when her younger brother arrived in the home as a new Resident. The siblings originally lost touch with one another due to Stan’s ill health, and had not been in contact with each other for over eight years.
Since Stan’s arrival in the home, he and Marge meet up regularly in the home to catch up, speaking of all that they missed of one another over the years.
Anne Lewis, home manager, commented: “It has been beautiful to see the siblings catch up with one another after such a long period of time. Its moments like this that are special.”
