Residents mingle with rugby players at Murrayfield StadiumResidents from HC-One’s Douglas View Care Home in Hamilton, Lanarkshire were over the moon when they were invited to Murrayfield Stadium to meet the international Scottish rugby players. 

Douglas View’s Wellbeing Coordinator, Arlene Hunter’s son David plays for the Hamilton under 18’s rugby club and thought Residents would love the opportunity to tour the stadium.

Stephen Greenhorn, Ricky Charnley, Aubrey Crawshaw, Matthew Lennox loved hearing all about the preparation that they players go through before a game and couldn’t believe their luck when they met player Henry Pyrgos. 

Aubrey Crawshaw commented:

“This has brought back so many good memories of playing rugby; one of the best days of my life!”

Douglas View’s Home Manager, Katy Jenks commented:

“What a fantastic day, it was great to see the reaction of the Residents when meeting players and getting on to the pitch.”
