Residents make new furry friends at Wigan care homeResidents at Carrington Court care home in Wigan enjoyed meeting some new furry friends as they visited Grange Farm in Lowton.

On the visit, Residents were delighted to meet a number of different farm animals including pigs, goats, donkeys, rabbits and llamas.

Everyone enjoyed getting to stroke the different animals, as well as feeding them and finding out more about their habitats and nutrition.

Following the walk around the farm, Residents enjoyed a hot drink and slice of cake before heading to Pennington Flash, where they enjoyed a delicious picnic in the sunshine and fed the ducks.

One Resident commented: “I absolutely loved every minute of our trip to Grange Farm. The highlight of my day was definitely getting to feed the goats.”
