Residents make a splash at local swimming poolResidents from HC-One’s Roxburgh House care home in Cradley Health enjoyed a dip in the pool and Langley Swimming Centre.

The team at Roxburgh House spoke with Residents to find out what they would be interested in doing outside of the home, some Residents suggested they would love to swim.

Everyone grabbed their swimsuits and headed to Langley Swimming Centre, once in the water Residents all enjoyed relaxing on their floats, one Resident, Tony challenged Julie, Home Manager at Roxburgh House to a swimming competition which he won.

Afterwards, everyone dried off and headed to the cafĂ© for a well-earned snack and drink, Residents commented on how much fun they had. 

Tony said that it was the first time he had been in the water since his army days in Gibraltar and he was happy he had the chance to swim again.

Roxburgh House Care Home Manager, Julie Jones said:

“It was fantastic to see Residents enjoying a morning swim, everyone had such a good time that we are looking to make this a regular activity for all to enjoy.

“I would like to thank the team at Langley Swimming Centre for ensuring that all our needs were catered for.”
