Residents keep moving at Ayr care homeThe Wellbeing team at HC-One’s Claremont care home in Ayr have been busy introducing new games and activities to encourage movement and interaction to support a positive physical and emotional wellbeing.

After taking part in the CAPA programme, Wellbeing Coordinators at Claremont have increased their knowledge on the benefits of movement for health. The team have used this knowledge to create some interactive games and activities that encourage Residents to move different parts of their body while having fun.

Residents are enjoying taking part in the new activities and working as a team to complete the games, everyone also enjoyed some friendly competition in the ring toss and balloon tennis.

Catherine Potts, Claremont Home Manager said: “I am so pleased that our Residents are enjoying the new movement games and activities. Our Wellbeing team are doing an amazing job at promoting a healthier, active lifestyle for everyone at Claremont.”
