Residents join local community for festive eventResidents at HC-One’s Roseberry Court Care Home in Redcar, Cleveland, were delighted to be invited by the local police force and cadets to join them at the local Christmas lights switch on.

The cadets accompanied the Residents to the event where local children were also singing carols around the Christmas tree, which the Residents happily joined in with.

Afterwards, Roseberry Court invited the local community back to the home for a warm mince pie, chocolate cookies and hot chocolate, which was donated by the local shops.

A Christmas event isn’t complete without Santa Clause and he didn’t disappoint, enjoying the festive refreshments together with the Residents and children.

Roseberry Court were delighted to attend this lovely community event, bringing together all of the different generations to enjoy the spirit of Christmas together.

The best part of the Resident’s day was singing around the Christmas tree with the local schoolchildren. Brenda Duckworth commented:

“Oh, those children are gorgeous and look, here’s Santa!”

Alison Corner, Home Manager at Roseberry Court, commented:

“Seeing all of the local generations enjoying the Christmas activities together was magical and the children’s faces were priceless when they first saw the lovely decorations and when Santa arrived with gifts for them.”
