Residents invite new furry friends to Averill HouseResidents at Averill House care home in Newton Heath were delighted to welcome some new furry friends to the home as Noah’s Art paid a visit.

Noah’s Art, which is an animal therapy group, visited Averill House as part of HC-One’s commitment to Resident wellbeing.

Everyone was delighted to meet the adorable animals, which included guinea pigs, rabbits and mice, as many people stroked and even held their new furry friends.

As they took part in the animal therapy session, many Residents were keen to find out more information about the animals, including what they eat and what kind of habitats they live in.

Alison Carmichael, Home Manager at Averill House, said: “Animal therapy is one of the most popular activities amongst our Residents, as it enhances both physical and mental wellbeing. It was great to see everyone interacting with the animals and learning some new fun facts.”
