Residents in HC-One’s Aston House care home in Hayes have been enjoying some knitting and a little cup of tea with a cake thanks to their weekly Knit and Natter club.
The club is led by Aston House Resident Shanti and is for any Residents who would like to be involved and to show Residents and Staff how to knit.
One Resident remarked: “I used to knit my children’s clothes, scarves and socks! It’s very relaxing and sociable.”
Seema Jose, home manager, commented: “It was only after we started the knit & natter club that I realised just how much purpose and meaning there was behind the knitting. Knitting is a hobby that comes with responsibility and pride.”
Residents Marjorie, Eileen and Murat all enjoyed their knitting and look forward to next week’s club.
