Residents get into the Christmas spirit at Cramlington care homeResidents from HC-One’s Hartford Court Care Home in Cramlington, Northumberland, got into the Christmas spirit at their weekly choir sessions.

The choir began singing Christmas songs and carols this week, preparing for their Christmas Eve Church Service with Graham the Lay Preacher, singing songs such as ‘Silent Night’, ‘Little Donkey’ and ‘White Christmas’.

These songs also prompted reminiscence amongst the Residents, with them chatting to each other about singing the songs over the years and the joys of Christmas.

White Christmas was a firm favourite, as was the singer Bing Crosby. Ann, a Resident at Hartford Court, then sang ‘Christmas Alphabet’ after talking to everyone about how she had sung on stage as a child. She sung beautifully and everyone applauded her.

The Residents all commented on what a lovely time they had, they thoroughly enjoyed the music and talking about old times. Ann commented:

“It has been one of the best days ever.”
