Residents at HC-One’s The Moat House Care Home have been getting crafty as the members of the craft club took on the challenge of decorating a tea trolley within the home.
The theme was ‘vintage tea shop’ as they decorated the items in a vintage fashion, using a craft mangle to cut the bunting for the trolley.
Each Resident was keen to have a go as they each chose their favourite patterned paper to use for the decoration.
Laughter and amusement came through reminiscing about the days they would use a mangle as they washed their clothing by hand when they were younger, and they each discussed how different things have changed over time.
Hedvig Nemeth, Home Manager, commented: “It’s nice for the Residents to have projects such as this as they enjoy craft activities so much. It’s wonderful to see what they create.”
