Residents get baking at Greenways CourtResidents at HC-One’s Greenways Court in Consett were enjoying a ‘knit and natter’ session together, discussing their love for baking, when they came to the decision that they would enjoy a baking session to create corned beef pies.

It was decided that the corned beef pies would be baked and enjoyed for the Residents’ lunch as an addition to the day’s menu, and everyone agreed that this was a wonderful idea, so began to do so, with the help of Colleagues.

One Resident enjoyed making the pies so much, especially as her grandson joined in to help. Everyone was delighted to be involved in baking the pies, making it even more rewarding when it was time to enjoy their creations.

Tina Ayton, Home Manager, commented: “Residents have enjoyed taking part in the baking sessions this afternoon. They made the decision to try something different today and Colleagues kindly helped to make this happen.”
