Last week HC-One’s Merino Court Care Home in Greenock took part in a local event in Inverclyde and came away victorious with a gold medal.
Go for Gold is a local event in Inverclyde where 13 local care homes battle it out at a sports day event, with Residents and the care team representing each care home.
Games included Toss the Slipper, Wheelchair Racing and a Tug of War with “Mighty Merino” winning the event overall and bagging the gold.
Resident Elspeth Stryke commented:
“I haven’t had this much fun in ages; what a great day!”
A formal awards ceremony will be held on Monday 17th September for the winning homes.
