Residents enjoy therapeutic afternoon at Stalybridge care homeMillbrook care home in Stalybridge organised a therapeutic afternoon for Residents as massage therapist Hannah visited the home to teach everyone the therapy of hand massages.

Residents took it in turns as Hannah gave everyone relaxing hand massages, while she taught visiting friends and family members the techniques.

Everyone commented on how relaxing the hand massages were, as they were given a spa-like experience.

Millbrook Colleagues also organised a delicious buffet and hot drinks for Residents and visitors of the home to enjoy.

Jean, a Resident at Millbrook, said: “I enjoyed that so much.”

Andrew Poll-Drane, Home Manager, said: “The hand massage afternoon was a great success, as Residents and Relatives enjoyed a therapeutic afternoon together. We look forward to hosting similar events in the future, as massage therapy is important for helping Residents feel relaxed in a care home environment.”
