HC-One’s Sutherland Court Care Home in Fenham, Newcastle upon Tyne, held a pie and pea night, complete with a quiz all about the North East, a bingo and a raffle.
Tickets were sold ahead of the evening to raise money for the Resident’s comfort fund. Everyone was given £3 for a raffle ticket as part of their ticket which created a lot of excitement.
Sutherland Court’s Chef made a variety of pies, ranging from mince and potato to cheese bakes, for the Residents and their loved ones to taste. A choice of beverages was also included in the ticket price, including Prosecco, beer, hot and soft drinks.
A prize was handed out to the winner of each of the activities, but everyone felt like a winner when they tasted the delicious food on offer that evening.
A Relative said that they couldn’t wait for the next themed evening, as they’d had a brilliant time.
Ann Martin commented:
“We loved the quiz, it took me back to the good old days!”
