Residents enjoy sizzling summer fun at Weston-super-MareResidents from HC-One’s Perry Locks care home in Birmingham enjoyed their annual summer trip to the seaside on Thursday 26th July.

Accompanied by family and members of the team from Perry Locks, a group Residents visited the sunny seaside town Weston-super-Mare. Everyone spent the day exploring all of the sights including the pier, sandy beach, promenade, gift shops and SeaLife Centre.

Residents reminisced about their seaside holidays as children, their favourite memories were knotting hankies to wear on their heads, watching the donkeys walking along the beach and laughing all the way through Punch and Judy shows.

Before heading back home most of the group indulged the classic seaside tradition of eating fish and chips and some even had an ice cream afterwards. Everyone finished off their day by singing songs on the coach journey home.

A great time was had by all, with all of the group commenting what a special day it was. One Resident, Patricia Schuck had the best day spending quality time with her daughter Jenny and granddaughter Georgia.

Perry Locks Home Manager, Rebecca Bristow said:

“What an amazing day, the smiles on everyone’s faces really said it all. I would like to thank my colleagues for planning such a special day and working hard to help Residents create more happy memories.”
