Residents enjoy keeping active at Stoneleigh Residents at HC-One’s Stoneleigh Care Home in Stanley, County Durham are enjoying getting active with PULSE exercises.

Stoneleigh has just started to host PULSE exercises in the home again, with their 2nd session being last week.

Anthony is the exercise leader and held a session both upstairs and downstairs in the home. He really engaged with the Residents and as a result they were all really positive about the exercise sessions, even those who chose to watch.

The Residents took part in exercises along to music and Anthony really interacted with the Residents, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

He introduced a football into the exercises and everyone was impressed with how well the Residents responded to this; Polly who is 101 even took her turn at throwing the ball.

Stoneleigh’s Home Manager, Kay Rudd commented:

“I am delighted with how the PULSE sessions went, I have never seen the Residents react so positively to exercise before.”
