Residents enjoy festive high tea at local pubResidents at HC-One’s Hartford Court Care Home in Cramlington, Northumberland, were delighted to be invited to The Three Horse Shoes for a dementia friendly event on Saturday.

Other care homes and organisations in the local area were also invited and the Resident’s enjoyed meeting new people and seeing familiar faces.

Everyone was treated like a VIP from the moment they arrived at the wonderful heated marquee, which was dressed with atmospheric lights in the ceiling and the tables were all laid out with Christmas decorations and crackers to get everyone in the festive mood.

A singer and guitarist provided music and two Residents from Hartford Court enjoyed a dance along to the music. Food including freshly prepared sandwiches and a selection of cakes were served, not to mention plenty of refills of tea.

The Residents loved the atmospheric venue and the live music, commenting, “That was the best day ever” and “I want to do that again.”

Wellbeing Coordinator Pam Devlin commented:

“This was an amazing event that catered specifically for all of those who had been invited.

Thank you to everyone at The Three Horse Shoes for your wonderful hospitality and care.”
