April Park care home in Eckington began preparing its display for Remembrance Day with an arts and crafts session for Residents.
The crafts workshop, which was held with the organisation Creative Mojo, gave Residents the opportunity to choose what war-related objects they wanted to create.
Residents selected their paints as they got to work on decorating poppies and aeroplanes for the communal display, which has been featured in the home for the occasion.
April Park was delighted to have a helping hand from one of its Wellbeing Coordinators’ sons, Leyton, who contributed to the beautiful display.
The workshop was a hit with Residents, as one person commented: “I really enjoyed painting and can’t wait to get involved with more craft activities next week.”
