Residents enjoy a trip to the flicks at Ashton care homeThe introduction of a weekly film club at Amerind Grove care home in Ashton, Bristol has proved to be a great success as Residents embark on a trip to the flicks together.

The film club, which was set up by Amerind Grove as part of the home’s commitment to Resident wellbeing, sees Residents meet up each week to vote on which film they will watch.

Once the movie has been selected, Residents sit down together to watch it with a selection of snacks, including ice cream, hot dogs, toasted sandwiches and popcorn.

Residents at Amerind Grove love the concept, as they also meet up after the film to give their verdict of a lovely cup of tea.

One Resident commented: “The film club is one of my favourite activities at Amerind Grove. It’s just like being at the pictures!”
