Residents enjoy a trip down memory lane to ScarboroughResidents from HC-One’s Beaconsfield Court Care Home in Barnard Castle, County Durham take a trip down memory lane to Scarborough.

During a recent Resident and relative meeting, Residents were asked if there was anywhere special that they’d like to visit. Verna Addison asked if it was possible to go to Scarborough as she has lots of happy memories from visiting the beach there with family members.

Last week Verna Addison, Olive Norman, Leslie Reed, Ken Campbell and his wife Margaret hopped aboard the bus for a day trip to sunny Scarborough, setting off from a rainy Barnard Castle.

Everyone enjoyed a fish and chip dinner by the sea before shopping for some rock for their friends and family.

The trip brought back a lot of happy memories for the Residents and they all enjoyed sharing the stories with each other on the bus back to Beaconsfield Court.

Ken and Margaret commented:

“It was a fantastic day out and it was made all the more special by being able to enjoy it together.”
