Residents enjoy a trip down memory lane at the Discovery MuseumResidents from HC-One’s Eastbourne House Care Home in Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear embarked on a trip to the Discovery Museum to enjoy the new Great Exhibition of the North.

Peggy, Bill, Connie, Sylvia and Beatrice enjoyed travelling through the decades, which sparked memories for some of them.

The highlight for the Residents was seeing the Great Exhibition of the North features such as the inventor of the lightbulb and the history of the Tyne Bridge.

After an enjoyable experience, everyone ate their lunch overlooking the Quayside.

Resident Beatrice Smith commented:

“I’m excited to see the future, but it’s great looking through the ages, extremely interesting.”

Eastbourne House’s Home Manager, Debbie White commented:

“Everyone came back happy, which in turn makes us happy!”
