Residents from HC-One’s Eastbourne House Care Home in Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear took a trip to Saltwell Park and Towers last week to experience the flower show before enjoying an afternoon tea in the tower.
Connie Hamersley, Eric Brown, Mary Wardlaw, Len Watkinson, Norma Watkinson, Irene Fox and Sylvia Parr hit lucky timing due to the beautiful weather when they arrived, allowing them to take a glorious trip around the gardens.
The views of the gardens whilst enjoying afternoon tea was the highlight of the day with Len and Norma commenting:
“The views out to the gardens are one of a kind, great weather too!”
May, Connie and Sylvia commented:
“This is our first time visiting and it was brilliant, really enjoyed the day and we hope to visit again.”
