Residents from HC-One’s Jack Dormand Care Home in Peterlee, County Durham enjoyed a day trip to Mainsgill Farm this week.
Mary Fairhurst, Derek Brown, Martin Hall, Derek Unthank and Harold Neslon had a lovely leisurely walk around the farm, where they saw camels, llamas, pigs, ponies and parrots.
Residents had a good giggle when they saw one of the pigs chasing a chicken and it especially tickled Derek Brown.
They all enjoyed a walk around the farm shop and into the team room, where everyone enjoyed the views and they couldn’t resist a strawberry tart to go with their picnic lunch.
On the way back, they took a trip through Thirsk and along the coastal road, which the Residents really enjoyed, reminiscing about their family outings when they were younger.
