Residents from HC-One’s Kirkwood Court Care Home in Kenton, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, enjoyed a bus trip out to South Shields and Roker Beach.
Elizabeth Kyle, Pamela Corr, Hazel Waggott, Irene Rerrie, Richard Griffiths, Shirley Ratcliff and Edith Bryant sent off on the bus trip and due to the bad weather, everyone decided to enjoy their picnic on the bus rather than going out into the rain.
The team in the kitchen had baked cookies for the Residents, as well as preparing fresh sandwiches, crisps, fruit, muffins and a selection of hot beverages.
The Residents loved watching the waves crashing against the rocks whilst enjoying a picnic on the bus. They were all glad to be on the warm bus, rather than out in the heavy rain.
