Residents celebrates 103rd birthday at Glasgow care homeBarbara Sikora, a Resident at HC-One’s Wyndford Locks care home in Glasgow celebrated her 103rd birthday on Monday 28th January.
Barbara was born at St George’s Cross in 1916, when she grew she worked as an office clerk and married Lieutenant Jan Sikora, the pair settled in Maryhill. 

To celebrate her special day, the team at Wyndford Locks organised a party with live entertainment, Barbara’s friend from her church popped in to wish her a happy birthday and she also received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from her niece Joan and her husband Ian who live in Australia. 

It was a lovely day from start to finish, Barbara said that she had a great birthday and thanked everyone for their good wishes and thoughtful gifts. When asked what her secret is to a long and happy life, Barbara commented: “Having fun, working hard, enjoying porridge every day and a wee glass of Irn Bru.”
