Residents celebrate Eid with special henna tattoosHC-One’s Cedar Court care home in Wigston celebrated Eid al-Fitr by getting henna tattoos.

Residents and members of staff at Cedar Court decided to get beautiful henna tattoos as a celebration of Eid, designs for the henna tattoos were thoughtfully created and chosen by each Resident, some even spent weeks coming up with the perfect design.

On the day everyone was very excited to get their henna tattoos, relatives and friends visiting their loved ones enjoyed admiring the designs and it was a great way to spark conversations between Residents.

The team at Cedar Court are organising more multicultural activities for Residents, visitors and staff to enjoy.

Elaine Freestone, a Resident at Cedar Court commented:

“I always wanted to get a henna tattoo but never had the chance. I think it’s brilliant to see the design being created on your skin, I wish I could have one every week.”

Cedar Court Home Manager, Louise McQuone said:

“It was amazing to watch the Residents getting their henna tattoos, everyone enjoyed seeing the beautiful designs that were chosen. It was a great way to bring people together and we are already planning more new and exciting activities.”
