Residents celebrate as Tour of Britain cycles past Gateshead care home Residents at HC-One’s Springfield House care home in Low Fell, Gateshead celebrated as the Tour of Britain participants cycled outside of the care home during stage four of the UK’s most prestigious cycle race on Tuesday 10th September.

In anticipation of the cyclists passing by Springfield House, the team decorated the building with union jacks and balloons. On the day, Residents and members of the team watched and cheered as the group cycled past the home, it was a lovely experience for all involved. 

One Resident commented: “The atmosphere and experience was so special, I was delighted that the Tour of Britain went past our home.”

HC-One Area Director, Tracy Dixon said: “What a wonderful idea, well done to the team at Springfield House for helping Residents join in the festivities and making it such a memorable occasion.”
