
Pat, is a Resident at HC-One’s Foxton Court care home in Morpeth and has recently been appointed at the home’s ‘recruitment champion’.
As the home’s recruitment champion, Pat is part of the home’s interviewing process with potential new team members, she listens to how they answer questions from the team and asks her own questions as well.
When interviewing the home’s newly appointed Chef, Pat asked how they would react with different dietary intakes and how they would be able to cater for people who suffer with diabetes or other conditions.
Pat has brought a new dimension to the interviewing process which allows the team to gauge how the interviewee engages with Residents, Pat commented: “I like to give my opinion and ask questions, it gives you a sense of people at an early stage.”
Foxton Court Home Manager, Joanne Bulford said: “It is wonderful to have Pat in our interviews, she provides insight from a different and ultimately, the most important perspective within our home.”
