Residents at HC-One’s Blar Buidhe care home in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis enjoyed an interactive African drum experience on Monday 25th February.
Everyone gathered in the lounge to take part in a special African drum activity, professional drummers visited Blair Buidhe to show Residents how to perform songs on a traditional African drum.
Residents loved learning a new instrument and some even started a competition to see who could make the loudest noise on the drum.
The professionals performed a variety of songs which was a delight for all, one Resident, Bella MacLean commented that the performance was wonderful.
Donald McIntosh, Blar Buidhe Home Manager said:
“It was lovely to see Residents engaging with the professional drummers and learning how to play themselves. I would like to thank local art centre, Ann Lanntair for organising such an amazing experience for our Residents.”
