Residents bake spooky biscuits ahead of HalloweenResidents from HC-One’s Eden House Care Home in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, had a great afternoon baking Halloween biscuits and decorating them.

Yasmin Bradford, Care Assistant at Eden House is currently supporting the Wellbeing Coordinator role and organised for the Residents to create Halloween themed cookies.

Everyone enjoyed rolling out the cookie mixture and decorating them in the dining area and, of course, tasting them afterwards which was the most important part!

Betty Towns, Kathleen Reid, Doreen Redfern, Nora Hutchinson and Doreen Scarr all took part and the event sparked a reminiscent discussion of their previous Halloweens with their families.

Emma Wade, Home Manager at Eden House, commented:

“The Residents had a great time rolling out the cookie mixture and using the Halloween cut outs to make figures before decorating them with icing.

However, the best bit for everyone was when they tasted them!”
