Residents attend local Sea and Army Cadet’s 100th anniversary of WWIResidents from HC-One’s Park House Care Home in Guisborough attended the local Sea and Army Cadet Corps celebration of the 100th anniversary of WWI.

The local Sea and Army Cadet Corps kindly invited the Residents of Park House along and everyone had a great time and were especially pleased to see Royal British Legion veterans with their evening colours.

The cadets performed drills and re-enactments before a choir performed a lovely set of songs. Ron spotted a ship’s bell on the wall and asked for permission to ring it, which was granted and he was delighted.

Food and drink was provided and everyone was made to feel really welcome. The motto for the day was ‘bringing generations together’ and the event most certainly did that.

The Residents were all delighted to be invited to this special event and loved seeing everyone in their uniforms, Doreen Kitchen commented:

“It was nice to have a smart navy man on my arm!”
