Residents attend a St George’s Afternoon Tea DanceFour Residents from HC-One’s Kirkwood Court in Kenton, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, enjoyed a trip out to a St George’s Day Afternoon Tea Dance in Sunderland.

Residents Florence Young, Irene Derrie, Doreen Hardy and Eleanor Snowball, enjoyed meeting many people when they shared the bus with Residents from Redesdale Court and again when they reached the Parish Centre where the dance was held where other homes were in attendance.

A local singer provided the entertainment whilst everyone enjoyed an Afternoon Tea, with many singing along. Eleanor and Doreen got up for a little dance, whilst Irene and Florence enjoyed dancing in their seats, especially when everyone joined hands to dance together.

The Residents were delighted to try out the candyfloss machine and reminisced about when they used to have candyfloss at the fair when they were younger.

Everyone had a fantastic day out, with Irene coming that she had a wonderful time. Eleanor commented:

“I really enjoyed myself, it reminded me of times when I would go out to events with my husband.”
