Residents at HC-One’s The Orchards Care Home enjoyed an afternoon of reading and surfing the web on Thursday 22nd February.
After learning more about what each Residents likes, staff from The Orchards visited the local library to collect books that would suit their individual interests.
Residents enjoyed reading through and talking about the books, which varied from ‘how to’ guides and wildlife books.
Later the Residents used tablets to play games including scrabble and were taught how to browse the internet by staff. Residents enjoyed learning a new skill and reading books that are suited to their specific interests.
