HC-One’s The Orchards Care Home celebrated Chinese New Year on Friday 16th February.
Residents sampled Chinese cuisine, spoke about the culture and traditions. Chong, a Resident at The Orchards told everyone more about his home country of Malaysia which was very interesting for all.
Everyone painted their initials from Chinese characters, tried their hand at some origami and discovered their Chinese Zodiac animal. It was an enjoyable day with one Resident commenting on how nice it was to learn what her Zodiac is and the characteristics associated with it.
