Residents at
The Beeches in Dunfermline which offers nursing care and nursing memory care for those living with dementia, welcomed back one of their favourite musicians back to the home.
Most of the Residents were able to see and hear the musician from either their rooms or the lounges.
The highlight of the day was when the musician played Scottish songs which the Residents knew and sang along to and even moved about in their seats with some feet stomping and waving their arms in the air in time with the music.
It was an emotional day but it was happy emotions, and everyone came alive.
One Resident remarked, “That was fantastic, I feel so happy, and I am so hungry after all this fun I’ve had!”
Angela Heyes, Care Home Manager said, “It was lovely to welcome back one of the Residents’ favourite musicians as he brought great cheer to the home and encouraged the staff and Residents to engage”.
