Residents at Morpeth care home enjoy spooktacular dayHC-One’s Foxton Court Care Home in Morpeth, Northumberland, celebrates Halloween by dressing up, eating traditional treats and having a sing along to golden oldies played by entertainer, Mac Francis.

The team at Foxton Court got fully into the swings of things, dressing up in their best attire and some of the Residents specially went out and bought their own costumes for the day. They took part in Halloween-themed games including pumpkin mazes, drawing pumpkins and having a good old giggle about their days of trick or treating.

Everyone was then given a treat in the afternoon with the fantastic Mac Francis who came to entertain the Residents and as always, he didn’t disappoint. Residents enjoyed singing along with him and having a little dance to the music. The treats didn’t stop there, with Residents being handed some traditional sweets that they used to enjoy as youngsters which they thought was a really nice touch.

Residents said that they enjoyed all aspects of the day; it was a fun experience from start to finish with a lot more treats than tricks taking place throughout the day.

Edwin De Leon, Home Manager at Foxton Court, commented:

“It was brilliant to see everyone coming along and enjoying themselves, there were plenty of smiles and laughter throughout the home for the entire day.

It was great to see Residents and the team get involved with dressing up and the efforts that the staff went through to ensure the Residents had as much fun as possible.”
