Milliner House Care Home in Luton was visited on Friday 21st July by Sarah Owen, MP for Luton North and Shadow Minister for Levelling Up, Housing, Communities and Local Government.
Residents and Colleagues of the HC-One owned care home enjoyed meeting Ms Owen and chatting with her about what life is like at Milliner House – which is an integral part of the local Luton community.
Ms Owen enjoyed a tour round the purpose-built 40-bed residential and residential dementia care home. She was shown recent refreshment works to the communal areas and Residents bedrooms, and even made a trip to the on-premises ‘Kings Arms’ pub.

“We were delighted to welcome Sarah Owen MP to our home. Everyone had a wonderful time, chatting about the importance of great care and the positive impact it has made on the lives of those living within Milliner House Care Home – especially those within our mental health community.”
Luton North’s MP, Sarah Owen, stated:
“It was wonderful to visit Milliner House today and meet the wonderful management team, staff and Residents.
“It was brilliant to hear about the team’s holistic-focused approach to care and the positive response they have seen in Residents demeanour, happiness and confidence levels as a result of this.
“Being a carer is hard work but also incredibly skilled work. The genuine care, love and empathy for the Residents was evident and the team are true professionals who go above and beyond for each and every individual. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent at Milliner House and look forward to returning again soon.”
