HC-One’s Altham Court care home in Lincoln was visited on Thursday 18th January by MP Karl McCartney for Lincoln.
Residents and Colleagues of the care home enjoyed meeting MP Karl McCartney and chatting to him about what life is like at Altham Court – which is an integral part of the local Lincoln community.
MP Karl McCartney enjoyed a tour round the residential and nursing care home, and even joined in with the active sports games in the lounge, trying out the hula hoop (much to residents amusement!)
Anna Livsey, Home Manager at Altham Court care home, commented:
“We were delighted to welcome MP Karl McCartney to our home. Everyone had a great time, chatting and discussing key issues they care about and what actions can be taken to overcome them.”
Karl McCartney, MP for Lincoln, is below:
“I was pleased to be able to visit Altham Court Care Home again and meet the staff, residents, some relatives and to join in in some of the activities. I spoke with Anna Livsey, Home Manager, about the range of issues and challenges in the care home sector and the extra support needed from both local and national Government. I will of course raise these in Westminster and in Lincolnshire. The support given to the residents in care homes like this are second to none. The staff, like Bev and her colleagues, are unsung heroes who we need to recognise far more than we do, for the kindness and care they provide our elderly population.”
