Residents at Huddersfield care home celebrate St. Patrick’s DayHC One’s The Oakes care home got into the spirit of the Irish today by celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with all things green.

A group of Residents got creative this morning by painting paper hats green to wear for the party in the lounge later that day.

Once the crafts were complete, all of the Residents gathered together in the downstairs lounge to get the party started! Everybody got involved with plenty of dancing and a sing-a-long too.

After all of the singing and dancing, it was time to enjoy the food and drink provided. There was some delicious Irish white pudding and of course some Irish coffees to get into the spirit of the party’s theme!

One of the Residents commented ‘I had a good time, I danced and joined in singing. I really enjoyed making the paper hats to wear for the afternoon party too.’

There was a great atmosphere in the home and it was lovely for everybody to spend time together.
