The Residents of
Catmoor House in Perth which offers nursing and nursing memory care for those living with dementia, enjoyed taking part in the HC-One 2021 Gardening Competition and entered four different categories.
The Residents particularly enjoyed planting the flower and vegetable seeds, watering and caring for the plants then watching them grow and checking on their progress.
The Residents commented, “The colours of the flowers are lovely and cheery” and “How lovely are all the vegetables we have grown, plus the flowerpots look marvellous”.
Carol Riley, Care Home Manager remarked, “We like to encourage the Residents to participate in activities and it was lovely to see the enjoyment on their faces when they saw the flowers and vegetables start to grow”.
