Residents at Acomb Court care home enjoy visit from MP and CouncillorResidents and Colleagues at Acomb Court in Hexham were delighted to receive a visit from MP for Hexham and Minister of State (Department for Work and Pensions), Guy Opperman and Cllr Tom Pearson on the 10th March.

Residents and Colleagues of the HC-One owned care home enjoyed meeting Mr Opperman and Cllr Pearson and chatting to them about current affairs, what life is like as an elected politician, and what life is like at Acomb Court – which is an integral part of the local community.

Mr Opperman and Cllr Tom Pearson enjoyed a tour of the 76-bed residential and residential dementia care home, including the home’s onsite hair salon and beautiful landscape gardens.

Sonia, a Resident at Acomb Court care home, said: 

“I thoroughly enjoyed meeting MP Guy Opperman and learning about his role and what is happening in Parliament.”

Kinga Kowaliczek, Home Manager at Acomb Court care home, commented:

“We were delighted to welcome MP, Guy Opperman and Cllr Tom Pearson to our home and demonstrate the high-quality care delivered at Acomb Court by our passionate and dedicated team of Colleagues. 

“Everyone had a great time, chatting and discussing key issues they care about and what actions can be taken to overcome them.” 

Cllr Tom Pearson from Hexham Town Council, remarked:

“I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Acomb Court Care Home. I was impressed by the accommodation and friendly services provided by Acomb Court Care Home staff.”

Hexham’s MP, Guy Opperman, stated:

“I was pleased to visit Acomb Court Care Home in Hexham with Town Cllr Tom Pearson. 
 
“It was a fantastic chance for Tom and I to meet with Kinga, have a tour of the home and meet with some of the Residents.”
